Let me remind you that this meme is hosted by MizB on her blog Should be reading.
(Lasciate che vi ricordi che questo meme è ospitato da MizB nel suo blog Should be reading).

To play along with this weekly book event just answer the 3 following question:
(Per partecipare a questo evento settimanale basta rispondere alle 3 seguenti domande):

1. What are you currently reading? (cosa stai leggendo in questo momento?)
2. What did you recently finishing reading? (cosa hai appena finito di leggere?)
3. What do you think you'll read next?

My answers: (le mie risposte)

1. What are you currently reading?
“Great Expectations”  by Charles Dickens.
My reading group will be the guest of University of Bologna on May 31st; we’ll talk about this Dickens’ work… so…. I HAVE TO read it by that time! :)

“Grandi speranze” di Charles Dickens.
Il 31 maggio il mio gruppo di lettura sarà ospite di un incontro organizzato dall’Università di Bologna per parlare di questa opera di Dickens, quindi una lettura prima di quel giorno era d’obbligo! :)

2. What did you recently finishing reading?
I have just finished reading " The Terrible Privacy of Maxwell Sim " by Jonathan Coe, the author chosen by my reading group for this month. I liked that book very much and I strongly recommend it!

3. What do you think you'll read next?
I have no idea what I’ll read next, I have just started reading “Great Expectations” which is more than 500 pages long…and this means I will definitely be busy for a few days :)

  2. I haven't read much Dickens. I always find his books look a little overwhelming to me. Hope you're enjoying it. Thanks for visiting my blog earlier.

  3. Thanks for visiting my blog and leaving your link so I can read your answers. I love reading Dickens - his language is so colourful and rich! Great Expectations is one of my favourites having read it once for a literature course and once again for my own pleasure. The characters are drawn so well they come alive on the pages for me and I genuinely got caught up in Pip's drama as it unfolded.
Good luck with it, I hope you enjoy it as much as I did!

  5. I really liked Great Expectations, even though I couldn't get through A Tale of Two Cities, and hope you enjoy it. Try watching the 1998 movie version afterward to consider a modern adaptation. It really added to my reading experience!

  8. Great Expectations is good, I read it for school as well. I think you'll enjoy discussing it more than reading it though. I think discussion brings the book to life. :)
    Happy reading!
